EU Research Project Maps Europe’s “Urban Mine” as 6 Million Tonnes of Critical Minerals Could Be Recovered Annually by 2050

The EU-funded FutuRaM project has mapped 42 critical raw materials across 31 European countries, finding that advanced recovery systems could reclaim up to 6.2 million tonnes annually by 2050 and replace 56% of primary imports under a full circular economy scenario.
